David Lee Joyner has been lead adjudicator for this non-competitive junior high and high school jazz festival, sponsored by the Thurston County Rotary clubs, for the 20 years of its existence. Joined by bassist Wayne Bliss and drummer Greg Williamson, they will present and coach area school jazz bands during the day, then perform as a trio at 7:00 that evening for a wine-tasting fundraiser. Proceeds go to clean water projects in Malawi, Africa, musical instrument purchases and private lesson scholarships for local schools.
